Summary

Join these troublesome dinosaurs as their best manners are put to task in this infectious read-aloud, a delightful new addition to Jane Yolen and Mark Teague's beloved, award-winning series!
What if a dinosaur won't be polite?
Maybe burps at the table and starts food fights?

Watch these dinosaur children's larger-than-life antics as they navigate sharing and showing gratitude with their human family and friends。

Do dinosaurs spit broccoli on the floor, hog the slide at the playground, or wreck the bathroom with their latest mud science experiment?

Of course not! They share, they show kindness, and they are polite。

Being courteous is an important lesson in children's lives。 While learning good manners is full of its own struggles and quandaries, the payoff of hearing "please" and "thank you" is worth it。

Each book in the endlessly popular How Do Dinosaurs series is a combination of childish antics followed by a gentle lesson -- with over 14。5 million books in print。 See if your little readers can find the names of each dinosaur, hidden on each page!

The illustrations are amazing! It’s also cool that they provide the name of each dinosaur on each page。 I just didn’t agree that everything in the beginning was bad manners。 Some of it is children wanting to explore and learn and wanting their space。 It’s okay if big brother doesn’t want to give little brother a piggyback ride, that’s a choice he’s allowed to have。

How Do Dinosaurs Show Good Manners is a great story to use when talking to children about using good manners。 It is an easy story that children can relate to。 It uses examples of times when you should use manners that children would do。 It also talks about what no so good manners are。 During the story, you can stop and ask children a time when they used good manners and/or a time they have not。

I loved this book and the message it is sharing。 Based on the title this book covers how to show good manners which is important to introduce to your students at a younger age。 The illustrations show what good manners and bad manners are which allow the children to visually see what they should be doing。 This book is overall engaging and shows a great message to younger audience。

I took my grandson to the library and due to other limitations I allowed him to only check out one book。 He selected this one which we both thought was so cute。 When we got back to my house he told me he already had the book at home。 I guess he liked it, but it seemed like a waste to check out a book he already knew。 Sigh。 Next time I'll take a stroller for his brother instead of carrying him so we can check out a whole lot more books。 I took my grandson to the library and due to other limitations I allowed him to only check out one book。 He selected this one which we both thought was so cute。 When we got back to my house he told me he already had the book at home。 I guess he liked it, but it seemed like a waste to check out a book he already knew。 Sigh。 Next time I'll take a stroller for his brother instead of carrying him so we can check out a whole lot more books。 。。。more

In this book, the author asks if dinosaurs are rude and spit food on the floor and hog all the dinosaur books, but, no, dinosaurs say please and are helpful and take turns and share。

This is a book that I haven't read yet before I read it to Cassie。 I love these books as they show what kids often do and they shouldn't really do them。 This book is so cute and the illustrations are life like in the way of the dinosaurs。 I love how the dinosaurs in the illustrations are showing all the things that they shouldn't be doing then change to what they should be doing。 This is a cute book to use to talk about using manners。 I recommend checking it out。 This is a book that I haven't read yet before I read it to Cassie。 I love these books as they show what kids often do and they shouldn't really do them。 This book is so cute and the illustrations are life like in the way of the dinosaurs。 I love how the dinosaurs in the illustrations are showing all the things that they shouldn't be doing then change to what they should be doing。 This is a cute book to use to talk about using manners。 I recommend checking it out。 。。。more

A cute book, but I feel like the series is starting to get a little stale。 It just doesn't have the same magic as the earlier books。 A cute book, but I feel like the series is starting to get a little stale。 It just doesn't have the same magic as the earlier books。 。。。more

Kids will love this circular story of antics that they themselves may be guilty of doing。 Poor broccoli, it will always go down as one of the worst green foods ever。 A burp, yuck, gimme, I hate that, me first, mine, and you can't play with me are all themes a kid encounters。 Each dinosaur is introduced in the beginning so it is fun to see how each dinosaur is portrayed。 Which dinosaur are you today? Younger kids will enjoy this book and have fun identifying on each page。 Kids will love this circular story of antics that they themselves may be guilty of doing。 Poor broccoli, it will always go down as one of the worst green foods ever。 A burp, yuck, gimme, I hate that, me first, mine, and you can't play with me are all themes a kid encounters。 Each dinosaur is introduced in the beginning so it is fun to see how each dinosaur is portrayed。 Which dinosaur are you today? A read aloud tale of how troublesome and naughty dinosaurs should display good manners in every circumstance, an excellent teaching tool, and a fun read for the entire family。

How Do Dinosaurs Show Good Manners? is the first of Jane Yolen's dinosaurs series I've read。The counterpoint of starting with ill-mannered dinosaurs is interesting and caught my attention。 Learning how dino's are actually very well-mannered is quite well done。There is much to like about the illustrations: the ill-mannered dinosaurs look mocking and insolent, while the well mannered look kind and caring。 My favorite part of the illustrations are those of the humans involved with the dinosaurs。 I How Do Dinosaurs Show Good Manners? is the first of Jane Yolen's dinosaurs series I've read。The counterpoint of starting with ill-mannered dinosaurs is interesting and caught my attention。 Learning how dino's are actually very well-mannered is quite well done。There is much to like about the illustrations: the ill-mannered dinosaurs look mocking and insolent, while the well mannered look kind and caring。 My favorite part of the illustrations are those of the humans involved with the dinosaurs。 I love the more old fashioned 50's look of them which make this fun story timeless。4 stars for polite dinosaurs and timeless goodness! 。。。more

My little enjoys pointing to each dino and roaring :) She has requested several re-reads of this book。 Would make a great Christmas/Birthday gift for kiddos 1。5 years - kindergarten。

As a former kid who loved dinosaurs and could often be found pretending to be one, I still get a kick out of how clever these books are with their reverse psychology and fantastic prehistoric beasties。I'm still going to yell "I hate meatloaf!" and slam the door, however。 As a former kid who loved dinosaurs and could often be found pretending to be one, I still get a kick out of how clever these books are with their reverse psychology and fantastic prehistoric beasties。I'm still going to yell "I hate meatloaf!" and slam the door, however。 。。。more

I haven’t treat the rest of the series but this book was cute, if a bit preachy。 I can see dinosaur lovers being very into it。

I really like Mark Teague's illustrations。 This book would be effective for children who really like dinosaurs and could use a few simple lessons in good manners。 I really like Mark Teague's illustrations。 This book would be effective for children who really like dinosaurs and could use a few simple lessons in good manners。 。。。more
